Emma launched My Special PA at the beginning of 2009 after detecting a distinct gap in the market for administrative and business support services for creatives businesses.

She has over 15 years of combined experience working within the creative industries – from design for Film and Television to Fine Art and Digital Media. Over this time, Emma gained a wealth of learning and experience in media production, project management, leadership, self-motivation, how to be both imaginative and resourceful with hard deadlines – and how to create a business pipeline as a creative freelancer.

Emma is an experienced and tenacious business development consultant for digital learning, design & marketing and other creative industries. She is a confident communicator, positive, motivated and very caring.

With over 10 years’ experience as a senior Executive Assistant in both the corporate and creative worlds, and two years working freelance as a blogger and copywriter, Angela has amassed a wide range of skills in areas such as communications, website and social media management, and marketing strategy. However, it is her intuitive people-skills and ability to understand clients’ needs that really set her apart.

Angela has a BA and MA in theatre and scriptwriting, and has lived and worked in the UK, Spain, France and Germany.

Jay has a BA in History and has also written a humorous parenting book which was published in 2010 by Random House.

Vardeep has been a Graphic Designer for over 16 years and has worked with a long list of companies, including ODEON, Pentagram, EMAP and Marie Curie. Ruth is a Brighton-based journalist and social media manager who has the inside track on what works when it comes to producing copy and selling yourself. Her writing is sparky, informative and, most importantly, accurate, and she can turn her hand to any style. She is a good communicator, motivated and able to turn work around quickly to meet tight deadlines.

Ruth has 16 years’ experience working with newspapers and news agencies at regional and national level. In her last job as a news reporter for the Press Association, she covered high-profile stories, including court cases, protests and environmental issues which made the news not only in the UK but often in other parts of the world. She also teaches shorthand to trainee journalists, a skill that had served her well throughout her journalistic career.

As a social media manager, Ruth not only looks after the day-to-day welfare of her clients’ channels and drives social media campaigns, but also provides strategy, influencer mapping, develops user personas and really gets under the skin of the brand, studying analytics to see what is and isn’t working.

With 6 years experience working as a high-level PA with directors in a social purpose organisation, Jessica has gained a broad knowledge of management support skills and project administration.

Since joining MSPA in 2014, Jessica has found she is at home working 1:1 with creative individuals, organising their busy schedules as well as assisting with presentations, layouts and bespoke designs for their companies.

With over 15 years experience providing administrative support to a number of high-level creatives, Nicola has coordinated large scale interior design projects, overseen the development of new design collections and was the photographic producer on the Grand Designs Abroad book for Channel 4/Harper Collins.

She spent the first ten years of her career working in the music industry for some of the UK’s most successful artists, bands and music related events, before going on to become Managing Director of one of the leading music and entertainment agencies. After moving to Brighton, Pandora worked for several publishing companies overseeing PR strategy before setting up her own PR agency Bullet PR in 2009.
